First, I am an attorney. I have represented publishers, authors, photographers and models whose work or images have been infringed, suing under copyright and right of publicity (the right to control the commercial use of your own image). I have also represented injured people in cases of severe personal injury and death; and I have done class action cases against junk faxers. Second, I am involved in publishing. I previously spent more than twenty years in direct mail and mail order advertising, and various publishing ventures. These days I advise several publishing clients on marketing and advertising, as well as copyright and other legal matters.
